PINK SATURDAY

Today I have some lovely pink plumeria blossoms. We had three of these trees in our backyard when we lived in Hawaii. These are great flowers to make flower leis from. I got quite proficient at making them when we lived there as there were many visitors who came to see us and we would make them leis from the flowers on our trees. There is also a yellow variety that is equally as pretty. We had a yellow tree also. These flowers are very fragrant.
The flowers above are just gorgeous. I am not sure of their name but they came as a potted plant.
OK, thanks to Dottydotty in the UK, the plant has been identified as
cyclamen! Thanks Dotty. And you can view dottydotty's pink blog here: http://dottydotty.wordpress.com/

This bouquet looks reddish in the picture but is actually shocking pink in person. My brother bought them for my Mom for her dining room table. She loves to have flowers on the table.

And last up today is a pretty in pink photo of my baby niece Analecia. She is such a little cutie. She was born April 4th on her grandma, my mother's birthday.
Happy Pink Saturday, everyone and for those of you interested in more gorgeous photos of everything you can possibly imagine in pink, please visit our hostess Beverly's blog at How Sweet the Sound. The link is in my sidebar. Thanks for visiting and also for all those comments last week, thanks to you I had a smile all week as I not only beat my 30 comment personal best record, but I received 40 comments! Wow!
Beverly's home work assignment was to visit and post the link of a blog of someone else who is participating on Pink Saturday...there were just way too many to choose from last week and all were outstanding but here is one I marked to put the link in for:
All the blogs are worth visiting so have fun and go out and look at some fabulous "pink" blogs!"

Happy pink Saturday! Like you, I am a dolly girl. Long after other girls outgrew them, I still loved mine. My daughter was not into them at all, but I bought them anyway, just because I liked them. Now she's grown up, and I have them saved in her memory bin - in pristine condition! lol.

What adorable little pink cheeks.

Plumeria will grow in the ground here if well protected, but we do have an occasional freeze that takes them down.

In Barbados they grow as tall as oaks. I bet the same is true in Hawaii?

I'm off to find who mentioned me & where... you're such a tease :-)

Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
Julia @ Drawn to the Sea

Hi Linda...

I hope you go over your 40 comments record this week! :-)

MMMMMmmmmmmmmm.......plumeria! Isn't it just delish? My DH's is from Kailua, Hawaii....all of his family is still there...well, not in Kailua, but somewhere on the islands... I love the smell there, and in fact, it was the very first thing I noticed when I got off of the plane for the very first time. How lucky you were to have lived in paradise!

Blessings,
Spencer

I also loved seeing the photos of your trip to D.Land and Am. Girl!! I think that's great that you are a doll collector. Hi Linda!
Oh honey the flowers are just absolutely beautiful. So love them. Thanks for sharing. Happy Pink Saturday. Thank you for all of the wonderful prayers for Amy. They are still continuing to struggle. Her blood pressures are so low. 60/25 and her oxygen levels have been low. They continue to move forward. Debbie is going to be watching her 24/7 for the rest of her life. She can never be alone. Her trach care and peg tube care are quite extensive and have required a lot of training for Debbie. My daughter Heidi and my DH are in travel as we speak. About 180 miles outside of Oklahoma City. Heidi is going to spend a week with her cousin. She and Amy have been through so much together. This will be good for both of them. I will make another post on Amy either later today or tomorrow. Please stop by and say hi. I so love it when you do. Country hugs, Sherry

So sorry that I am getting to you a day late and a dollar short for Pink Saturday. Seems like the day just got away from me.

The sun was out in the afternoon and all day today, so with all the rain we've had, I went outside to play.

As always, it is a pleasure to come here to see what you are sharing and what you've been up to during the week. Thanks so much for making my weekend all ♥Pink and Pretty♥

That baby is GORGEOUS!

Linda, I loved hearing from you! I have been MIA for a month or so because lots and lots of things going on with our properties. I am supposed to be handling things. LOL! Yeah, right. ;-)

Then we went out of state for my MIL'S milestone birthday and had to do a ton for that, came back to participate in a close friend's birthday with their whole family coming to St. Augustine for a celebration, and we actually were so busy we "forgot" our anniversary this year. LOL! Well, Mr. Magpie's mother reminded us, so we quickly got each other something. Life is kind of nuts right now, but good.

Your little niece is PRECIOUS! I love that photo, and she is one pretty little girl. I know you must love her to pieces. Babies are always so special.

Sending you much love on Pink Saturday (on Thursday)...

XO,

Sheila :-)
